The Devon Historic Churches Day (incorporating "Ride and Stride") (opens in new window) will be held on Saturday 14 September this year.

Most, if not all, of our churches have benefitted from grants from the Devon Historic Churches Trust over the years, and there are lots of great ways to get involved and help raise funds for the Trust. Our churches will be open as usual but other Fundraising events in the Mission Community this year include:

  • St James', Teignmouth
    • St James' church will be open for visitors (including Riders and Striders) from 9.00am until 5.00pm. With guest bellringers at 11.30am.
    • Andy Harding will be walking to raise funds for the Trust and St James' on Saturday 14th September, from St Michael's on Teignmouth seafront to St Nectan's, Ashcombe, calling at all of the churches in the Mission Community (approx 12 miles).
  • Bishopsteignton
  • Ideford
    • Cream Teas in the Village Hall from 2.00pm until 4.00pm. Raising funds for the Trust and St Mary's.

  • Luton
    • St John's will be open for visitors (including Riders and Striders) as part of the annual Devon Open Studios event. Refreshments available.
