We welcome Dr Ruth Sewell who has now returned to ministry in the Mission Community.
She writes: "I have lived in Bishopsteignton for 37 years and our village church, dedicated to St John the Baptist, became our family church. After a break of four years, I have returned to ministry and on the 21st July, 2024, I was relicensed as a Reader, now re-termed a Licensed Lay Minister. I was supported by many of the congregation, from St John’s and St James and in particular appreciated the support of Revd Deacon Peter Burren and Licensed Lay Minister Peter Wood.
I am looking forward to working within the ministry team, serving across the Mission Community. I am particularly interested in supporting others in prayer and the nourishment that can arise from connecting to God and the spiritual life by being outdoors."
