11 September 2021 marked 200 years since St James’ Church took on its unique, octagonal-shaped building. The church was rededicated on that day in 1821 and we held a Fun Day all to celebrate the occasion.

We now look forward to the next 200 years of ministry in St James' church by joining together in 200 days of prayer.

"For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope."
- Jeremiah 29:11

"Over and over again it will happen that if a man or woman, having thought out a problem to the best of their ability, will then lay the whole matter in the hands of God, and genuinely desire that God's Will shall be done in their lives and not their own, it will become perfectly clear what that will is. Over and over again this happens."
- Willian Temple

Lord God as we celebrate 200 years of a church made new in this place show us clearly your way for the next 200 years. Teach us how to pray, that we may grow in faith and numbers and serve your people with joy and delight. Through Christ our Lord, Amen
