To embrace the spirit of Remembrance to the Fallen, the Flower Team at St Peters, along with other willing knitters began the creation of these small but significant flowers.

Nia & Mary Pearson took the lead, and had help from a dozen willing knitters.

The traditional red poppies commemorate the fallen in all conflicts since the Great War, but we have included purple to signify the animals who also died in action.

We have included yellow & blue poppies - the colours of Ukraine - to include and embrace our Ukrainian guests whose own men-folk have sacrificed so much in their current conflict.
