St Nectan’s has a small congregation which represents about 10% of the local population… so therefore well above average for a parish church attendance! To raise enough money for various repairs and renewals to the 12th Century Grade I listed building the PCC have raised money from various sources:
In 2013 a substantial grant from Viridor enabled St Nectan’s to carry out extensive repairs to all of the mullions and windows. The works included repairs to selected windows, repair of high level stonework and internal decorations.
This work was completed on time and in-budget. The next big project will be work to the church tower and restoration of the church’s organ.
