Quiet Day for Advent

Quiet Day for Advent

Taking  the theme 'A Holy Family' and led by Rev Jane & Richard Frost, this Quiet Day offers a way to help prepare for Advent.

If you’ve never been on a Quiet Day before, then they can be very special occasions to give yourself some space to relax and reflect on the coming season. Interspersed with times of silence, three talks will consider Jesus, Joseph and Mary and there’ll be some guidance on how to use the rest of the day itself.

Donations will be requested to cover costs. Please book a place by contacting Richard.

Thurs 28 Nov: 10-4 Quiet Day for Advent - Ideford Village Hall

Teignmouth Mothers Union

In January 2019 many of us chose to become Mothers’ Union Diocesan Members, but we still gather once a month as part of a worldwide fellowship of Christians – united in prayer, worship and service.

Translating into our daily lives this year’s theme: Listen, Observe, Actin step with God our members have also offered to pray for and support the six local churches and communities connected to Haldon Mission Community.

Mothers’ Union members within this Mission Community also support and endorse the Bishop of Exeter’s Vision:

pray ~ grow ~ serve with joy.

A warm invitation is also extended to you, to join with us and share in the first of these priorities – the call to prayer.

Please see our Prayer Diary for details of the weekly cycle of prayer incorporating the Mothers’ Union vision – of a world where God’s love is shown through loving, respectful, and flourishing relationships.
